Terms and Conditions of Rental

General information
Starting a rental at airports, hotels, villas, entertainment centers or any other place of customer's choice an additional charge of 20% is applied. VAT is 24% in all rentals.

Additional information

The driver's license, credit card and passport or identity card will be requested by the driver upon receipt of the car. All of the above must show the name of the driver. The driver's license for the rented car must have been issued at least three years before the rental date. The driver must either be a holder of a driving license issued by a European Union country or a holder of an International Driving License. The International Driving License must be accompanied by the driving license of the driver's country.
Additional driver.
The charge for use of the car by additional drivers is 100 Euro per day plus VAT, per driver.
Age of tenant and drivers
he driver of the rented car must be at least 25 years old for all car categories. According to the Greek legislation, the driving license issued by the countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Denmark, Greece, Switzerland, Greece, Estonia, UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Cyprus , Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Czech Republic & Finland.
According to the Greek legislation, the driving license is also valid with the Latin characters from the countries: Azerbaijan, Ivory Coast, Albania, Armenia, Venezuela, Vietnam, Northern Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Georgia, Ghana, Guyana Ecuador, United Arab Emirates, Zimbabwe, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Congo, Costa Rica, Cuba, Kuwait, Mexico, Mongolia, Mol Bahrain, Bahrain, Nigeria, Norway, South Africa, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Uruguay, Pakistan, Peru, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Russia Russia San Marino Saudi Arabia Senegal Serbia, Seychelles Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Tunisia, Philippines & Chile.
Driving licenses issued in all other countries are required to be accompanied by the International Driving License.
JBK Engineering's off-road car rentals are made upon booking at the time of booking and the charge is 200 Euro, plus VAT. The charge also applies to any other time JBK Engineering offices are closed. JBK Engineering office hours are visible during online booking.
Travelling abroad
Travelling with a car across borders is possible under the following conditions:
1) Booking must be made at the Booking Center of JBK Engineering (tel: +30 2168008514, e-mail: info@JBKdreamproject.com).
2) Payment to be made through JBK Engineering's central account and / or VISA or MASTERCARD credit cards.
3) The tenant must hold two credit cards, one of which is Gold.
4) The tenant must obtain the Green Card and additional theft insurance for the abroad and bear the cost for them.
5) The tenant is obliged to return the car to Greece.
Note: It takes at least 2 business days to obtain a green card and theft security. The cost for these is 210.00 euros plus VAT.
The power of the Green Card and the Theft Security is for only 1 month. If the rental is over 1 month, additional Green Card (s) must be issued at extra cost. This cost is charged to the customer. Note: The customer should be aware that in the event that JBK Engineering's car is damaged during its stay in another country, JBK Engineering has no responsibility for replacing the car with another. JBK Engineering is required to be authorized in writing for carriage by ship.
Return the car to a different station than the start of the rental. One Way:
The return of the car to a station other than the one that started the rental is charged at ? 3 per kilometer, plus VAT. The minimum charge for the One Way service is ? 200, plus VAT.
Return delay.
If the car is returned 7 hours late or more than the agreed return time, then there will be a Delayed Refund Charge at a cost of 1000 Euro, plus VAT, for each day or part thereof, in addition to the cost of the extra rental day.
Grace period
One rental day is counted as 24 hours and 29 minutes. If rent exceeds this period, then an extra rental day will be charged.
JBK Engineering & Liability Coverage 1) Coverage to Third Parties What covers? It covers third-party insurance and personal injuries, including JBK Engineering (excluding the driver of JBK Engineering), up to 1,000,000 Euro and third party damage to the amount of 1,000,000 Euro. What does not cover? Total or partial theft of the car. Theft of personal items that are located on or in JBK Engineering's vehicle. Death or bodily injury of the JBK Engineering vehicle driver. Damage to the vehicle of JBK Engineering. Cost Included in the price. What does not cover? Damage caused by intent or negligence Damage caused by misuse of fuel Damage resulting from breach of contract Damage caused by natural disasters or acts of terrorism Damage caused to the underside, the roof, the antenna, the mirrors and the tires of the car or when JBK Engineering's car was on board. When and when JBK Engineering is compensated for any damage, then it will return the corresponding amount to the renter. What does not cover? Damage caused by intent or negligence Damage caused by the use of the wrong fuel Damage resulting from breach of the terms of the contract Damage caused to the underside, roof, antenna, mirrors and tires of the car or during the car of JBK Engineering was on board. Theft of all or part of the car caused by negligence of the tenant (eg left the key in the engine or inside the car, or left the car unlocked).
IN CASE OF ACCIDENT, THE CUSTOMER MUST BE UNINTERRUPTED IN ORDER TO FILL THE ACCIDENT DECLARATION UNDER ARTICLE K70 OF HELLENIC LEGISLATION.
Additional Services Children's seats for use by tenants are available upon prior arrangement upon booking. The charge is  30 Euro per day plus VAT per rental contract. Chains for use by tenants are available upon prior arrangement upon booking. The charge is  50 Euro per day, plus VAT,
Fuels Prepayed fuel: The customer prepares a full fuel tank at the start of rental at the average local market price. At the end of the rental, the customer can return the car with an empty fuel tank. If on the return of the car there is a residual fuel in the tank, JBK Engineering does not return the amount corresponding to that fuel. But if the customer returns the car with a full tank, then JBK Engineering returns the prepaid fuel to the customer. Non-prepaid fuel: The customer may choose not to prepay the fuel tank but must return the car with the same amount of fuel to the tank. If the car returns less fuel than the car when it received it, then it will be charged the amount of 100 Euro plus VAT per lease contract plus the cost of the fuel consumed. Traffic Offenses Management Expenditure In the event of damage to JBK Engineering or a third car or a road traffic offense, there is an additional charge of  150 Euro, plus VAT, to cover management costs payable by the driver, regardless of his fault, and will not it is never returned. Traffic Offenses: Fines and any other consequences of KIC infringements shall be borne entirely and exclusively by the lessee. The tenant assumes full liability for road traffic offenses and pays the corresponding fines and management fees amounting to 150 Euro, plus VAT. Ring in the center of Athens: In the center of Athens there is a "Ring", where vehicles with a single registration number are in circulation on the single days of the month (eg 1, 3, 5, ... 31) and the vehicles with an even number circulate on the even days of the month (eg 2, 4, 6, ... 30). Excluding cars rented by foreign visitors to the country and Greek permanent residents abroad for the first forty (40) days of their stay in Greece. However, each customer must also be provided with the rental contract of the car that will prove that the car is rented and is in Greece less than 40 days. The tenant assumes full liability for road traffic offenses and pays the corresponding fines and management fees amounting to ? 150, plus VAT. Classification Fees: Classification Fee Charge is  1 Euro  per day with a maximum charge of 14 Euro, plus VAT, per rental contract. How is the rental price? The rental fee is charged every 24 hours. So if you rent a car for 26 hours, you will be charged for 2 days. However, we always allow 29 minutes before we charge an additional day (for rentals in Greece). The cost of renting will depend on the car category, when you rent, how long and for which destination.

Compensation of JBK Engineering in the event of seizure of the vehicle.
In the event that the Authorities seize the rented vehicle, because of the illegal behaviour of the customer, indicativelydue to the possession and use of drugs, or the illegal trafficking of persons, etc. JBK Engineering may appeal against the customer by requiring compensation for the entire number of days the vehicle was seized, reserving all its legal rights.
